Polecats Manila’s 14th Annual Student Showcase
What lies beyond our world? Where do we go from this plane of existence? How do we trancend movement beyond our bodies, and into the next realm?
These are the questions that we will explore on stage in STELLAR 2024. Let us take you on a journey through the realms of the underworld.
Through the gates, where creatures of darkness and wonder thrive.
Into the depths, where the mystical gods decide the fate of those who seek them.
And then finally, emerge as light. Transforming into beings of a higher power.
For the Underworld is not an end. Instead it is a destination. We journey through it, and discover what lies on the other side of the darkness.
Stellar Underworld is Polecats Manila’s 14th student showcase. Join our show, and portray this story through pole, aerial, and dance performances on stage! Stellar Underworld is on July 20, 2024 at Aliw Theater. Stellar classes start on April 7! Schedule and more details will be out soon. What is Stellar?
Stellar is our annual student showcase. Every year, we get the chance to learn a dance, and perform it on stage for our friends and loved ones to see. This year is the 14th showcase, and we’re so excited to tell a whole new story through pole, aerial, and dance performances.
When and where will it be?
Stellar Year 14 will be on Saturday, July 20, 2024, and it will be held in Aliw Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City. This is the same venue we performed in last year. We were able to house everyone comfortably backstage, have spacious rooms for everyone to stay in, use a big, wide stage with a professional-grade mat, offer good seats and ample parking for the audience, so we opted to book it again for this year’s show!
As a performer, you will be asked to be in the venue early in the morning on July 20, so please block off the whole day for it! Plan a rest day on July 19, as well!!
How will we prepare for it?
To prepare for the show, our classes will be organized like our current term classes, in that we will be locked in to one class over several weeks, learning the tricks and choreography, with the same classmates. From April 7 onwards, classes will meet once a week to learn and practice each performance.

Why should I join?
To make the long story short: because it’s so much fun! To achieve tricks in class is one thing, and to put them together in a dance with your classmates on stage is a whole other level of fun and fulfillment. You will share a lot of laughs and good times in practice, and help each other nail tricks and dance moves. You will get all dressed up - make up, costumes, and all - and shine on stage for your loved ones to see. Just ask fellow classmates who have joined in the previous years! It's an incomparable experience and we hope you would consider to be a part of it!
To everyone who joined last year, we hope you are just as excited as we are to step into the limelight! We’re telling a whole different story than last year, and this year’s theme will showcase everyone in such a different light. We will reveal this in the coming weeks!
If I’m a beginner, can I still join?
Of course! We will have a lot of classes open to beginners for this year's show! If you're currently taking classes already, then this is the perfect next step! If you have not joined any class yet, we recommend for you to sign up and try the classes you may be interested in March, to be able to try out what you would be committing to!
What is the schedule of classes? Costs?
